In a new fine dining venture in Bahrain, Diyafa Holdings Co, a subsidiary of Global Banking Corporation (GBCORP), has announced a franchise agreement with regional restaurant chain Shakespeare & Co.
Despite a challenging market environment, Ahmed Al Khan, Chairman of Diyafa Holdings professed confidence in the niche segment, which is occupied by Shakespeare & Co's ‘Café Restaurant’ concept.
Commenting on the “significant growth potential of the hospitality market” in the country, Al Khan said he expect the value of the Bahrain tourism sector to increase from 12% to 25% within a decade.

Shakespeare & Co restaurants are characterized by a diverse gourmet menu, which features Lebanese and continental dishes, and classical décor, reflecting its international customer base of both residents and visitors.
Speaking of the partnership, Al Khan said: “Diyafa and Shakespeare & Co are eagerly looking forward to offering a completely new, authentic, fine dining experience to our valued customers.”
