VisitBritain’s, the UK’s national tourism agency is set to hold its largest travel trade event in Dubai next month.
Over 200 travel industry specialists are signed up to attend ‘Destination Britain & Ireland’ (DEBI) - a three-day event designed to showcase the latest travel and tourism offerings from the UK and Ireland, which is taking place in May at the Grand Hyatt Hotel.
DEBI is VisitBritain’s biggest trade event in the Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa region (APMEA). The annual event offers an opportunity for wholesalers and decision-makers to meet and network with a wide variety of tourism product suppliers from the UK and Ireland. This year will be DEBI’s seventh year in the region, but the first time the event has ever been held in Dubai.

Carol Maddison, UAE manager, VisitBritain said: “Holding the event in Dubai is a perfect fit, especially as Dubai is both a dynamic international business hub, as well as a top tourist destination.
She added: “DEBI has been solidified as a key travel industry event throughout the APMEA region, especially as it provides an unsurpassed networking platform for key UK trade partners in the region. This year will see more than 60 UK and Irish tourism products being showcased to buyers from over 17 countries, including Australia, China, Singapore and the UAE.”
Destination Britain & Ireland will take place from 10 - 13 May, at The Grand Hyatt Hotel, Dubai.
