Arjaan by Rotana-Dubai is holding an event to raise money to send 10 Thalassemic children on a seven-day cruise with Costa Cruises.
In conjunction with UAE Red Crescent, the event on May 8 runs form noon until 7pm and there will be everything from exciting games with KIDZANIA to raffle draws and plenty of prizes to be won from Rotana, Outlet Mall, KIDZANIA, The Big Bus Tour, Virgin Mega store, Outlet mall Hamley and many many more.
Arjaan by Rotana-Dubai executive assistant manager Raiz Saban said: “We are able by a true smile to reach all the hearts so we invite all the children to join us because there are lot of activities and games to get their smile wider and at the same time they will be joining in adding joy to some other children’s hearts.”

Thalassemia is not just one disease, but a complex series of genetic disorders, which involve underproduction of hemoglobin, the indispensable molecule in red blood cells that carries oxygen.
In thalassemia, there is a change in one of the types of globin chains. Depending upon which globin chain is affected, the mutation typically leads to underproduction (or absence) of that globin chain, a deficiency of hemoglobin.
