The Hilton Hotels brand in association with Time Out Dubai is set to launch the UAE’s first downloadable city guide.
The new application will be available for complimentary download for all iPhone and iPod Touch users via www.timeoutdubai.com/iPhone and features extensive hotel, restaurant, nightlife and film listings, as well as reviews.
“Dubai is a business and cultural magnet, attracting people from around the world and there is a constant need for updated information on where to go in the city,” said Hilton Hotels global brand marketing vice president Andrew Flack.

“With this in mind, we are sponsoring the Time Out Dubai application, which will offer residents as well as visitors, an interactive guide on the things to do and the places to see, supplemented by precise satellite maps, exhaustive listings and reviews on the city’s various attractions. From gourmet restaurants and celebrity exhibitions to popular street joints, the trusted experts at Time Out Dubai have discovered, sampled, ranked and listed the city’s best.”
The application is a free interactive resource that acts as a go-to-guide on Dubai for visitors and residents alike.
Users can access real-time information and reviews irrespective of where they are in the world. For first-time visitors, who can be overwhelmed by the multitude of options available, the application is a reference point for directions to all the city’s hotspots. It is also a guide to the latest acts and exhibitions around town, whilst providing information on clubs, as well as the best deals and promotions around Dubai.
“This is the first time you can get independent, critical reviews, from a trusted and internationally recognised brand, based on your exact location in Dubai. The Hilton Time Out Dubai Application keeps you in touch with what is happening in the city no matter where you are in the world and has precise satellite tracking that will give you Time Out suggestions based on the neighbourhood you are in when using it in Dubai,” said Time Out GCC publishing director Zoe Cooper-Clark.
“So if you get hungry while strolling along Jumeirah Beach Road, pull out your iPhone and Time Out will tell you which restaurants we recommend close to where you are. Stuck in a taxi in Bur Dubai? We'll suggest the best nightspots near you.”
With its Apple-enabled interactive features and host of listings, the Hilton Time Out Dubai Application is an easy reference and compass for the emirate. The application also tags the best in hotels, restaurants, night clubs, concerts and many more, giving visitors the chance to sample all the different facets of Dubai.
Hilton’s two properties in Dubai - Hilton Dubai Jumeirah Resort and Hilton Dubai Creek - are featured. With a total of 13 outstanding restaurants, cafes and bars, the two Hilton properties have become preferred dining spots in Dubai. Overseen by Michelin-starred celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, the dining options at Hilton Dubai Creek include award-winning Verre by Gordon Ramsay, while Hilton Dubai Jumeirah Resort features Bice, the renowned contemporary Italian restaurant, and Pachanga, serving up the best in South American cuisine.
