EXCLUSIVE: Waldorf Astoria to open in RAK Q4 2011

I must say it looks quite strange that WA by Hilton would operate that Al Hamra Hotel which is being operated by factory runners. Most of the people at senior level have no idea of running a global hotel, if new brand brings new leadership would be wonderful, otherwise it would never be able to deliver the standards, employee satisfaction & guest expectations. While Al Hamra is famous for overbooking the guests to desert where guests booked for beach hotel. It would be very surprising for the guests that the same management people would work under new brand, if it happens I wish alot good luck and help from heaven for Hilton/WA. Sincerely,

Hi Nick, I know alot about this hotel (Al Hamra Palace & Residences) which is in the same complex of Al Hamra Forte Hotels & al Hamra Town houses, and I also know many people working or worked there. I would like to keep many things as vague since I do not want to use people names but I was wondering how Hilton would manage with current management style which is unfortunately not even at basic level of international standards. I wish a good prospects for Hilton ahead, but the system & people established there, is really impossible to market this property well with real values.I used Al Hamra Forte Hotel as a reference where guests are treated in a miserable way, booking for Beach Side Rooms but out-booked to Desert Hotel full of mosquitos and smelly rooms and no one listen to customres, v strange. I am sure if you have ever experienced this proprty would agree with me, and I simply say if the GM or higher management is proficient enough then how this can happen, so we can simply blame poor management and very poor structure. Great year
