Just came across this article , and I'd like to add my 2 cents. It is the airlines who load the fares in the computers, but some dont guarantee them. It is easier to raise an ADM , then to find the cause of the problem, which in most cases is from the airlines side. Most airline people today are not up to the mark, in understanding these issues, very few I might add, and they too are fast disapearing. No you cannot abolish ADM's , they are needed to control abuse, but for the moment most of the abuse is from the airlines side. IATA needs to overhaul their system too, e.g. ADM's cannot be raised after 9 months of ticket issue or final travel - but this rule is being ignored too.
