This person is using the same freaking menu for the last 6 years at IC Doha, does not know how to fry felafel ( just because he is arabic ) and please go a head make interview with him and ask him about the all other cuisines and you will see he is worth zero !!! There are 1000 of great chefs here in Middle East that deserve to be recognized and awarded much more from this funny face!

Hi Jenny, Hotelier didn't test its top nominated chefs' falafel-cooking skills or deduct marks for "funny faces", maybe you could suggest this criteria to our experienced and fair judges for next year's awards! If you'd like any more info on the judging process, do get in touch. To sum up, Georges was recognised for his "round-the-clock commitment and unfaltering passion, and his dedication to developing the gastronomy sector in Qatar. "He's a highly-skilled executive chef who has introduced molecular gastronomy to some of his menus and is currently setting up the Qatar Chefs' Association." We have gone ahead and interviewed Georges too so you may read all about his many achievements in Hotelier's November issue! I'm sure there are lots of other chefs in Qatar that also deserve to be recognised (out of interest, are you one of them?) and I hope to see their nominations in for the 2012 Hotelier Awards!
