I just read this and this really made me laugh....! I'm a member of the Grand Hyatt Spa (now called Ahasees) and cannot imagine how this magazine voted them best Spa in Middle East? (I live in the UAE for almost 10 years and visited quite some spas). The indoor spa area is small and it has only 2 little sauna's. The indoor pools have reguarly been under construction over past years(=> unable to use). And since recently they also don't bring the towels anymore (in the pool area), you are required to pick them up somewhere.. The outside pool area is large & nice however every Thursday and Friday afternoon (most of the year) an outside children's party ruins the 'relaxing atmosphere' for hundreds of spa/pool guests. Loud music and a DJ shouting through the speakers. Can't count anymore how often I raised this but so far without any substantial effect. In addition, the party goers (children and parents) often invade the children's pool area (which is mostly unshaded as well so not great for children in the summer period). Is seems management care more about the 20 children attending the party than their own hotel/spa guests and members. Very dissapointing and seems not very commercially savy.. At this point I've decided not to renew my membership anymore next time - even if they would win the Middle East Spa Award 2013 !
