Dear Mr Naim, you may also address to the unfortunate events where salaries are variable based on nationality - while ignoring candidate's extensive education and background. And this situation is prominent particularly in Middle East (mainly UAE & Qatar). Hospitality industry is all about passion, regardless of nationality, we must look into the candidate's experience, education and career build up. I am sure you will agree to this point and might reply with your insight here. Thanks

Dear Niam, Good to hear from you. As a training provider I would of course give great value to educational qualifications in our industry. However we all know that this is not enough to make a competent professional in our industry and therefore the "coming through the ranks" should also be highly valued by providing training as they are coming up. You are then left with highly competent individuals-and loyal ones to. I agree on your point about how the industry is seen over on this region. We have to encourge all levels of Government and education to promote the industry as a worthwhile career.
