Our management team is all for replying to Trip advisor, but once, following a very nasty comment guest comment which sounded like a scam, Trip advisor never published the reply from our side. And it was impossible to get in touch with anyone from the website. Do you have any tips concerning this issue?

Hello there! My sincere apologies, but I only saw your comment today - there's sadly no automatic notification for comments on online articles. For the benefit of colleagues in similar situations: It's very rare for TripAdvisor not to publish management replies and / or not even to give you a reason why they didn't publish it. Also, if there are any signs of scams / blackmail attempts, hoteliers should use TripAdvisor's build-in reporting tool and either pro-actively report the matter or flag the review(s) in question. If you're a TripAdvisor business listing client, your first port of call in your situation will probably be your TripAdvisor account manager. If you're not a business listing client and TripAdvisor does not respond to you, try the owner's forum (link in the management centre) or file an official take down notice. Best of luck! Martin
