MidEast spa managers say retail is key to revenue

As a spa consultant who specializes in ethnic skin and sales training I believe that the comment "they're not sales people they're therapists" belies the potential of your spa staff. Selling is easy. The issue is that sales cannot effectively be taught without first taking into account the nature and personality traits of most therapists. When training is successfully performed sales results jump exponentially and immediately. The key then is follow up by the manager or spa director who (by the way) should be the one monitoring daily performance and providing daily feedback and encouragement to the therapists.

By reading this valuable article, something stops me, ?Dogra said it?s important to recognize that ?at the end of the day they?re not sales people they?re therapists so we need to empower them?.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Another question comes to my mind. What are therapists selling? Certainly, they are sales people. They are selling their skills and experience and the success would be by selling, promoting, and advertising products used by them. My opinion is to keep on sales, and service culture training all around the year.
