Brain-damaged Emirates Palace guest to appeal

I cannot understand how this company has not paid for the treatment that their negligence has necessitated. The compensation paid doesn't even cover the cost of one round of treatment for Natalie, who lives in fear of her life every day. Natalie's parents have gone broke paying for treatment whilst watching their daughter fade before their eyes. Surely Kempinski have a conscience. Now that they have been found liable they have no face to loose and certainly have the money to pay for Natalie's past, present and future treatment. Just think what wonderful press this would be if they looked after Natalie in the way they should, it may even restore faith in human nature if they stepped up and did what's right. Some proper payment for the years of legal costs would be a wonderful gesture too.

This is why we have public liabilty insurance ? They need to make an urgent interim payment to cover all medical costs and then an amount that is fair to cover all subsequent treatment she may need . I do not understand why this has dragged on for so long . Shame on all concerned.

I would suggest the hotel has an attitude of uncaring and ignorance. I sustained injuries staying at the hotel in June 2012, due to the negligence of the hotel - majority of my emails since that date have been ignored. Recently, the hotel offers me 10% discount should I return, what an insult. I had my wrist in plaster and knee surgery, I also spent inheritance from my grandad for my 2 week stay at the time and they offer 10% and then ignore communication, is this how so called prestigious hotels treat guests? Such a bad attitude from senior management.
