I have had the distinct pleasure of working for Lionel: he is not only a brilliantly technical and creative chef, but also a professional who holds himself and those he works with to the highest standards of ethics and practice. He expects no less of others than he does of himself (which for some makes him difficult to work for) His food is world-class, Michelin standard, clean and simple; following his credo of letting the product speak for itself. This allows the customer to experience the essential essence of beautiful produce exquisitely prepared, eclipsing the everyday banality of most restaurants. He deserves the accolades he is receiving and if you have the chance, go experience his food.

I had one of my best dinner ever in Asian fusion restaurant in Vienna not knowing who is responsible for it. After the dinner I had to ask and now I know: Liang Ming is a real master!

I've seen Lionel develop his craft over the course of many years into a true art form. From the time he started cooking he has always tackled his chosen profession with an unrivalled passion for quality and excellence that is hard to find anywhere in todays world, he truly is one of the worlds great masters.
