Air turbulances are not new thing. What is suprising is the Fall from 20000 to 2000 is a big drop and which suggest there might be more than just an Air pocket . With so many Gadgets inside the Aircraft these informations are availabe well in advance so that pilot can take corrective steps. It will be too early to say what went wrong and we will have to wait for 3-4months before an official information is out.

Avinash, what are you smoking? The plane fell from 35,000ft to 20,000 feet. The airlines said it only fell 200ft. You should re-read the article again. Where did these numbers show up?

Instead of Appreciating the PILOT, we dont know why do you all discuss about the falling feet. Air turbulance is quite natural which cannot be controlled. Hats off to Pilot who has saved the valuable lives of passengers. Sajeer

Did the report say if those passenger had their seat belts fasten? I guess not, otherwise how can people fly out of their seats. It is nowadays always advised to keep belts buckled during the entire flight. Those who got injured are probably the same who ride in their cars without seat belt and have their kids jumping around inside the car! I hope they learned a lesson, no pity for them, except the flight crew!

thank god all the passengers survived.Kudos to the pilot for controlling the flight even after a steep drop.
