It was indeed a blessing working under his leadership ! I have always admired his professionalism,wide knowledge and passion for the cuisine.Apart from his sense of creativity and innovative ideas coming so naturally -he enjoys sharing his knowledge to the young chef in his brigade thus bringing the team to a professional chef level. Such a very special chef with a wonderful personality Jean Luc Amman deserves to be the CHEF OF THE YEAR - The current standard of food and beverage level at the Al Bustan Palace should serve as self explainatory.

I found Chef Jean Luc is passionate about any thing he involved. Always pay attention, smile, communicates well and a positive personality. As I know him from many years, he shows keen interest in providing training and support to young generation.

I was privileged to work with Master Chef Jean Luc for over 2 years. He has been a mentor moreover a great friend for me. He certainly is stand out from all the chefs I have come across. His culinary skills, talent, creativity, passion, commitment, desire to grow and develop people is exceptional. He is a true professional who can transform an ordinary team into a winning team. His direct and no politics approach makes it easy to interact with him as there is no hidden agenda.. I count this a well deserved award ..

Chef Jean Luc is a person with very rich experience in 5 star hotels and I have been working with him for the last 9 years. He drives the Al Bustan culinery team with a great leadership and very friendly with his colleagues and guests. He really deserves this award

Chef Jean-Luc Amman is a wonderful person in the Culinary Kingdom whom I have come across. With his friendly smile and approach to no matter what ever the problem is ahead of him combined with the habit of never uttering the word "No" and always ready to help who ever is in contact with him. He is the man with an eye for detailed perfection in what ever he does. A fine example of it was seen during the First Professional Culinary competition held in Oman during the Food & Hotel Expo in 2009 where he was seen personally carrying the exhibits along with his team and helping his team mates in the setup. Chef Jean-Luc's commitment in the development of young Chef?s especially the local Omani Chefs is worth commendable. He is a man fully committed and dedicated towards the Culinary Kingdom. He is indeed worth of the prestigious and coveted award 'Chef of the Year'

I personally never met Chef Jean-Luc but what I know about him and what I heard from the industry is that he is the master of Food Service industry and proved his professionalism and finest qualities in culinary in general and French cuisine in particular. Jean-Luc is known for his dedication, innovation, creativity and team building abilities. I think our new generation has lot to learn from his practicle experience in culinary art.

Beyond words and talk, I have decided to nominate Jean-Luc as the Chef of the year. With his enthusiasm and engagement towards his job, he is a role model to our profession. I know him as a possionated Chef and good friend, and with him as our president with the OCG, we will achive our plans and targets towards Omani Chefs development! Good luck and all the best.

Jean Luc, indeed a virtuoso in cooking, a great Chef with a great leadership. His work shows passion and care as well a great personality as a Chef. chef jean - luc is the most senior and dedicated chef to encouraging the exchange of culinary knowledge on a national and international level. i as a founder member of two chefs guild ( emirate culinary guild and oman chefs guild ) fully support him for his future mission to improve and enhance the image of chefs
