Jean-Luc Amann - the charming and humble chef of the Palace. He is indeed the best chef I have ever worked with. I have seen passion for talent, genuity and care through him. Chef Jean-Luc, you really deserve Chef of the Year award!

I have met Chef Jean Luc twice and in this Industry you have chefs who live their passion on and off work. He is at a stage now where he is giving back and ensuring the future of chefs and the uniform is respected. With demographics where a cook cant enter Oman from Dubai, as he is a master cook not a manager. He is ensuring there is a platform for chefs and the future of chefs. Not politically but otherwise, inspiring work nonetheless.

Jean Luc he is the amazing chef he is heart of hotel not only in the kitchen. If you step in Al Bustan the first of all experiences of you that is him chef Jean. He is give big inspiration to any level of staff advise us as a father. I am working with him not so long but he is awesome boss. He has alot of skill and experiences that he can share with us am not surprise if he will get this award. But if he miss it will make me curious. BOLEH... chef

Jean Luc, is strong leader in culinary team with his present smile. He is passionate & welcoming guests. He is willing to give his fullest service towards to young chef to come up in culinary. Very enthusiastic chef.

jean luc is one of the most passionate of chefs i have come across in my career, his success is in remembering all the small details and also the small people that he comes in contact with. he is friendly and polite and very humble with the staff and with all associate chefs at the oman chefs guild , its always a pleasure meeting him at the various competitions, or guild meetings and as one of the senior executive chef here in oman he deserves the award for his consistency and role model attributes and for lending a huge hand in putting oman on the middle east culinary map.
