Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) has entered in to an agreement with The Hotel Show organisers dmg: events to become strategic partners for the 2011 hospitality show which will take place on May 17-19.
“The objective of the partnership is primarily to promote Dubai as a key destination hub and pool resources in a joint effort to support the local hospitality industry as well as regional and international participants,” commented Jerad Bachar, director, Dubai Convention Bureau, the congress and exhibition section of the DTCM.
According to the agreement the DTCM will offer its c expertise, suggesting topics and providing expert speakers for the Seven Star Conference which runs alongside The Hotel Show exhibition.

A DTCM executive will also sit on an advisory board to help shape the content for the event. In addition, the DTCM will also promote the event to its industry partners, through its website and on relevant marketing material.
“The DTCM has an enviable profile around the world and provides considerable support for all stakeholders in Dubai’s hospitality sector. Their support will be invaluable to us, especially their experience of not only attending and participating in many international events, but their expertise in marketing Dubai as a business and leisure destination,” said, Frederique Maurell, event director, The Hotel Show.
The main exhibition is split into four sectors; Interiors & Design; Security & Technology; The Resort Experience; and Operating Equipment & Supplies, each housing a number of new subsectors, including green energy supplies, front of house reservation systems and light catering equipment.
