The Al Habtoor Group is considering plans to build the biggest hotel in the UAE, according to a report in The National.
Khalaf al Habtoor, the group's chairman, told the daily that the project would be located on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai and would boast about 2000 rooms and suites.
Al Habtoor said he was optimistic about the hotel industry and that hotels were “doing well”.

“There is improvement - 2010 was good, and 2011 will be even better," he added.
The chairman also explained he hates partnerships and would not be seeking partners for the venture.
The company owns the Habtoor Grand Resort Spa and three Metropolitan hotels as well as two hotels in Beirut.
