“The facilities and location of Crowne Plaza Dubai-Deira make it a great fit for the Crowne Plaza brand - being in the heart of Dubai, close to popular heritage sites such as the gold and spice souks, Al Bastikiya heritage village and key business districts where banking, government and ministries are located. It is also within easy reach of Dubai airport."

Bamsey continued; "We are very confident that our partnership with Mohammed and Obaid Al Mulla will be a long and successful one. The timing of the rebrand to a Crowne Plaza coincides with the commencement of a US$ 55 million refurbishment to the rooms and public areas which demonstrates their vision and progressive attitude. Their business principles perfectly align with IHG’s and the team and I look forward to working with them going forward."
