The luxury Monte-Carlo Beach Club will be the first property to open on Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi when it launches on September 1.

The club, based on the luxury Monte-Carlo Beach on the French Riviera, has now opened up membership requests.

Patrick Nayrolles, general manager of the Monte-Carlo Beach Club, Saadiyat, said: “This is an important moment for us, for Saadiyat, and also Abu Dhabi, as we are providing a club with a level of luxury and exclusivity that has not been experienced in the region to date.

“We are delighted that we have reached this stage and have a confirmed opening date and we believe our venue will be an integral part of the Saadiyat story.”

The Monte-Carlo Beach Club, Saadiyat, which covers an area of 39,500m2, is club is operated by SBM (Société des Bains de Mer), who have managed the Monte-Carlo Beach in Monaco for around 90 years.

Nayrolles said: “We believe that Abu Dhabi has many synergies with Monte-Carlo.

“We looked at Saadiyat and where it is going to be in 10 years, and it promises to be an affluent district of Abu Dhabi, home to many of the capital’s well-off community. We can see that happening now and we will be supplying a service and a concept that will definitely be in demand as more of the developments come on line.”

The club will offer are four food and beverage venues, luxurious pools and cabanas, a spa, a kids’ club, fitness facility, and various function areas.

A number of luxury hotels and private residences will follow the launch of Monte-Carlo Beach Club, including Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas, being developed by Abu Dhabi National Hotels (ADNH),and The St Regis Saadiyat Island Resort.

The Monte-Carlo brand is synonymous with luxury and impeccable service, and we believe it will bring an air of exclusivity to Saadiyat Beach, which is set to be the island’s tourism hotspot.
