Owner Ibrahim Asmael commented: “We are extremely pleased to be partnering with MENA Hotels & Resorts in developing the first MENA Suite Hotel in the Kingdom.

“The Saudi Government Commission for Tourism and Antiquities (SGCTA) has a robust plan in place to increase the tourism industry's share in the country's gross domestic product from six to 16% by 2020. We are proud to be contributing to that plan with our partner MENA Hotels & Resorts whom we can rely on and certainly will make this venture a success and the start of our long time partnership”.

MENA Suites Hotel Al Khobar will offer 70 rooms and suites designed to create a homely residential environment for extended-stay travellers and families.

All suites features fully-equipped kitchenette, state-of-the-art entertainment and communications, wide TV screens and variety of International channels, while WiFi is offered free of charge throughout the hotel.

Hotel facilities will include a café-restaurant, two meeting rooms, swimming pool, gym, spa and free car parking.

MENA Hotels & Resorts was established in 2008 by Al Hokair Group and opened its first property a year later, the MENA Hotel Riyadh.

“Since then, the hotel has set and presented a dynamic modern touch with a hands-on approach and a high level of service that caters to leisure and business pursuits, and meets young, aspiring executives and families alike in sophistication that ensures a rejuvenating feeling that has cultivated a different level of standards of hospitality,” said MENA Hotels & Resorts director Fadi Mazkour.

The group also operates the 400-room MENA Grand Khaldia in Riyadh and has two further upcoming properties: MENA Suites Olaya, Riyadh scheduled to open by November 2011 and MENA Hotel Muscat, Oman.

“Other locations are scheduled to open in other major cities by 2012”, added Mazkour.
