The Westin Dubai and Le Méridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina has announced Tolga Lacin’s promotion to complex hotel manager.

Lacin joined The Westin Dubai and Le Méridien Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina as complex executive assistant manager food & beverage in 2009, bringing more than 17 years of experience in the hotel industry with him.

His career began in Istanbul at the Hilton Hotel in 1992, and from there he joined the opening team of the Hyatt Regency, also in Istanbul.

He has held acting food and beverage manager positions in hotels from Kazakhstan to Kanuhura in the Maldives and enjoyed a brief stay in the Middle East in 2001 where he held the title of food and deputy food and beverage manager at the Sheraton, Doha.

Re-locating to the Far East in 2003, he held director of food and beverage titles in the Walkerhill Hotel, Seoul and the Intercontinental in Hong Kong where he received extensive management experience.

Prior to moving to Dubai, Tolga joined the Asia Pacific Starwood team in 2006 where he was appointed F & B executive manager at The Westin, Shanghai where he directly managed a team of Executive Chefs, 2 assistant F & B managers, seven department heads and 357 associates, managing three restaurants, bar, lobby lounge, kitchen, outside catering and banquet departments.

He has been a member of the Starwood Asia Pacific Food and beverage Council since 2006.
