A new high-end, gourmet retail and restaurant outlet developed by the Milk & Honey Group is to open in Dubai in December.

The Provedore, an 18,000ft² outlet on the ground floor of Sunset Mall in Jumeirah, will offer a range of facilities and products aimed at meeting the needs of foodies across the UAE.

Founder, chief executive officer and managing partner Shadi Joweihan said: “We will have a caviar bar, a robatiyaki bar, sushi bar, cooking school by Atleier de Chefs and we’re hoping to build a studio in there as well now and have chefs cook off exactly like Masterchef”.

He continued: “There will be a five-star butchery, the biggest cheese room in the Gulf — 6m by 6m with 300 to 400 cheeses — bakery, patisserie, water bar, tea room, a VIP check out area; it sounds like a dream come true but it’s not on the plan, it’s actually being done as we speak.

“The Provedore is basically a Harrods of the Middle East. This is no exaggeration,” said Joweihan, who is developing the concept alongside main investor partner Saaed Bin Drai.

The outlet — which is being designed by Australian Dreamtime Design — will have dine-in seating capacity for 120 people, as well as seating in the studio theatre for the cooking school.

Negotiations are underway with a celebrity pastry chef from Australia to design the menu for the pastry and bakery section.

In total, Milk & Honey Group is looking to recruit 100 people minimum to run The Provedore, including a two hat or two Michelin star chef to come on board as executive chef.

Milk & Honey Group also operates Milk & Honey Gourmet Grocer on The Palm Jumeirah, which it is expanding to a second site in Emirates Hills and looking to franchise in Lebanon and Kuwait.

The third arm of the company is a logistics firm, Milk & Honey Trading.
