Ramada Hotel & Suites Ajman has promoted Iftikhar Hamdani to general manager from his previous role as executive assistant manager, which he had held for eight months.
Hamdani brings more than 17 years of hospitality experience to the post. He joined the Ramada in Ajman in 2009 as director of sales and marketing.
The Ramada Ajman is currently the largest hotel in the northern emirates in terms of room inventory (with 336 rooms) and has an occupancy level of 87% year to date, according to the hotel.
“We are witnessing the success of Ramada Ajman under his [Hamdani’s] leadership and he has brought a lot of changes in the property. His contribution to the Wyndham Green is significant and we commend him for his effort.”
Hamdani added: "We are enjoying good occupancy for the last two years and now our focus is to indulge ourselves in some community and environmental support.
“My priority is to keep the same momentum of success at Ramada Ajman and at the same time make it a “green” hotel to support the world’s environmental campaign.”
Hamdani started his hospitality career with Pearl Continental Hotels in Pakistan. He moved to UAE in 1999 and spent nearly a decade developing his sales and operational skills within Coral International Hotels.
