Wyndham Hotel Group has signed its first property in Turkey, the Wyndham Petek Istanbul, which is expected to open in quarter three next year.

The five-star, 306-room hotel will be built within within seven kilometres of the Istanbul International airport.

Kilicbey Turizm will operate the Wyndham Petek Istanbul, which is being designed jointly by architect Metex Design Group and Pyramid Architect Group, part of a larger development that will eventually house more than 11,000sq m of retail space.

Eric Danziger, president and chief executive officer of Wyndham Hotel Group commented on the signing: "Istanbul is a rapidly developing, vibrant city that serves as home to a growing number of companies as well as a rising number of international travellers. Wyndham operates under a number of brands around the world, including Ramada, Howard Johnson and Travelodge.
