Building works have started on Le Bristol Abu Dhabi being spearheaded by European luxury hotel developer Oetker Collection and expected to open in 2013.
The hotel, located in the Al Bateen area is being built in partnership with NCTH and will feature 184 guestrooms, set within its 45-55 sq m grounds.
Facilities will include a market café and a gourmet restaurant, banqueting rooms to capacitate up to 300 people, a private beach and marina, and a spa.

The groundbreaking ceremony on Monday was attended by Oetker Collection’s CEO Frank Marrenbach, chief financial officer Dr Timo Grunert, VP – sales and marketing Alain Briere and SVP – development MEA Samir Daqqaq. From NCTH, CEO Mohamed Mounib and chief financial officer Hany Farag attended.
Earlier this week, Oetker Collection revealed that it would run the new Palais Namaskar hotel in Morocco.
