The City Seasons Hotel Al Ain has been HACCP certified for the receiving, storage preparation and processing of raw materials. This is the second such certification for the group, which saw the City Seasons Hotel Dubai certified earlier this year.


“This is a proud moment for us” said Raad Tayeh hotel manager. “Not only for the fact that we have been awarded this certification but also for the training and awards that our culinary team has achieved. This award provides a level of assurance for our guests and demonstrates our commitment to the high standards expected by them.”


The hotel underwent significant renovations to its kitchen in order to comply with the HACCP recommended layout, and managers purchased additional equipment, particularly food chillers.

Managers also completed an in-depth study of the menus and processes with a resulting document on the elements of how food safety hazards will be controlled.

 

In addition, the team at City Seasons Hotel Al Ain was put through extensive training in food hygiene at both basic and intermediate level, with the hotel’s HACCP team leader also gaining additional awards including a level four award in managing food safety in catering and a level three HACCP in catering.
