A US $90 million contract has been awarded to Arabian Construction Company (ACC) for the extensive refurbishment of The Nile Ritz-Carlton as part of its conversion from the former Nile Hilton.
The revamp will include interior finishing, mechanical electrical works and plumbing to modernise the 13-story hotel that spans 64,000m sq.
The 370-room landmark was built in 1959 along the shores of the Nile, surrounded by downtown Cairo and is owned by Misr Hotels, a subsidiary of The Holding Company for Tourism, Hotels and Cinema.

Having operated in the UAE since 1968, ACC has been involved in other luxury hotel projects including Emirates Palace Hotel, Princess Tower, Etihad Towers and the Rotana Hotel Tower Amman, the tallest building in Jordan.
