Work has started at a new AED120m Premier Inn being built at Abu Dhabi International Airport, it has been announced.


Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) and Premier Inn, the UK budget hotel brand, said the hotel was slated to open in mid-March 2013.


The announcement of the groundbreaking of the Premier Inn property follows an agreement signed last year between ADAC and Premier Inn.

The 300-key Premier Inn Hotel will be the fifth in the UAE and will be located opposite Terminal 3.

 

Abdul Majeed Al Khoori, chief financial officer of ADAC said: "The hotel will allow ADAC to offer yet another set of convenient products, to its airport customers from travellers and airlines, providing quality services for their comfort and convenience at very reasonable prices."


The hotel will be linked to Terminals 1 and 3 by a retail corridor, which will include various shopping outlets, lounges and restaurants.


The Premier Inn hotel will include a restaurant, Costa Coffee shop, cocktail bar, meeting rooms, swimming pool with whirlpool spa and a gymnasium.
