Fitness First Middle East has announced it is to open new clubs in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia, as well as renovating three in Dubai.

The two new clubs in the UAE will be located at the European Business Centre, in the Greens Community, Dubai, and the Marina Mall, Abu Dhabi.

Both the 1,000m² Dubai club and the 1,160m² Abu Dhabi ladies-only club will include freestyle, free weights, strength and cardio sections, as well as dedicated studios for group exercise.

In Saudi Arabia, the Rabwah club has opened in Jeddah with a 2,300m² floor area. It also features group exercise studios and a members-only lounge with free internet access.

George Flooks, COO, Fitness First Middle East, said: “The Rabwah club comes on the back of the phenomenal success Fitness First has experienced in the Saudi Arabian market. Our growth is a testimony to the seriousness with which Saudi nationals are looking to adopt a healthier lifestyle.

As well as the new clubs, existing Fitness First clubs in Ibn Battuta Mall, the Burjuman Centre and Dubai Media City have been extensively renovated to include new freestyle areas and new equipment.

Flooks added: “Establishing new outlets and upgrading facilities at our existing locations are in line with our plans for 2012. Through leveraging these developments, we look forward to offering our existing and potential customers with an all-round fitness experience.”

The company plans to also open a new club in Kuwait by the end of Q1 2012, bringing the total of clubs in the Middle East to almost 30.
