Jumeirah at Etihad Towers has announced it will exceed its target of planned events in 2012 due to an upswing in demand.

Speaking at GIBTM in Abu Dhabi, general manager, Jumeirah at Etihad Towers, Doris Greif stated: "Since opening in November 2011, both awareness and bookings for our conference centre have continued to grow.

“The state-of-the-art technology, refined luxury interiors, gourmet banqueting options and in-house support services available at the Jumeirah at Etihad Towers Conference Centre have provided new options for clients to hold bespoke events in spectacular surroundings.”

Since the hotel's opening demand for the Conference Centre as a venue for local cultural exhibitions and events, and regional conferences in particular have witnessed increased demand, as too has demand for the centre as a venue for wedding events, the company said.

Jumeirah also said that awareness of the property abroad would be influential in fuelling demand from 2013.

Designed to enhance the seamless coordination of events and uninterrupted flow of visiting guests and delegates, the Jumeirah at Etihad Towers Conference Centre, including its Mezzoon ballroom, all 13 meeting rooms, Chairman Suite, Bridal Suite, Business Centre and Events Showroom, is completely and uniquely housed on the same Podium 4 Level.

"By participating at events like GIBTM and spreading the awareness of our unique facilities and services, our goal is not only to expand on the business for our Conference Centre, but to win and attract international conferences and exhibitions to the city of Abu Dhabi,” added Greif.

“At Jumeirah at Etihad Towers we are passionate about supporting clients to Stay Different and as such we don't see ourselves as simply hosting events, rather we help orchestrate "fine theatre". This is where our competitive edge lies."
