Dnata has unveiled its new uniform, which was created by A.Ronai LLC in Dubai.

It has taken more than one year for the air travel service provider, which has more than 20,000 staff across five continents, to create the uniform in partnership with A.Ronai LLC, with the project going through several stages of development.

A short film has been created following the development of the uniform through all its stages, which can be viewed below through YouTube.

Gary Chapman, president, Group Services and dnata, Emirates Group, said in the video that designing uniforms to meet the needs of so many staff in numerous locations was difficult. “We’ve got different climatic conditions, different environments, different cultures, and different nationalities. When you put all that together, it’s a real, real challenge.”

He added: “Everything we do, everything we touch, it’s about high standards, and it’s about service excellence.”

Between August and November last year a series of wearer trials took place which allowed staff members to try the uniforms and give feedback for amendments.

David Sprakes, design and production manager at A.Ronai LLC said: “Through the focus groups, we learnt what a lot of the staff needed so we’ve engineered the garment so that they’re comfortable to work in.”

“We found that from the wearer trials, some of the things we hoped would work did work and some of the things needed a little fine tuning,” he added.
