Media One Hotel in Dubai is running a smartphone photography competition for people to share their vision of fun.
There will be four prizes on offer, with a combined total of more than AED 20,000 (US $5445), including smartphones, iPods and tablets.
Mark Lee, general manager, said: “We have so many fun customers at Media One we wanted to give them the chance to express their vision of fun using their smart phones in order to capture the fun of every situation.”
Entrants will be judged on creativity and depiction of the theme by a panel of experts in photography, design and digital marketing, with the winners being announced on May 9 at M-DEK at Media One, where the winning images will be on display.
“Everyone who registers with us is allowed to send up to two images, but they must have been taken in the UAE and from 1st January to date. It is only open to amateur photographers, over the age of 21, but we are certain we will gain some superb images of happenings of the first four months of 2012. So use this as an opportunity to share your images as I will definitely be checking out the images to see how creative you all are,” Lee added.
Entrants need to send their images, which depict the theme of A Vision of Fun, to marketing@mediaone.com before May 3. Images need to have been taken with a smartphone in 2012 in a JPEG format and be no larger than 3MB.
