L'Hotel Bahrain L'Hotel Bahrain

L’Hotel Bahrain, a luxury 90-room hotel in Manama’s Seef district, has closed its doors indefinitely.

The five-star property’s management did not renew a commercial registration with the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, which ran out on July 11 and needs to be renewed annually, according the Gulf Weekly.

The property’s public commercial registration record now lists it as 'under sequester’, meaning it is in the process of being separated, or seized, from the owner.

Management at the hotel have not yet announced why the hotel’s registration was not renewed.

Opened in 2009, it was widely regarded as being Bahrain’s first luxury boutique hotel, featuring three restaurants, as well as a bar which was aimed at bringing in weekend party-goers.

It also included a rooftop swimming pool, conference room and underground car park.
