Rixos is set to open its first property in Egypt, a sprawling resort in Sharm El Sheikh.

The resort encompasses 695 rooms and suites, which include 488 rooms, 70 Family rooms, in addition to 137 Junior Suites, ten of which have private plunge pools that offer views of the Red Sea.

“Sharm El Sheikh’s reputation as a dynamic and rapidly-expanding touristic destination was among the key attributes that prompted our presence in Egypt,” said Basak Erel, senior vice president brand management Rixos Hotels.

“The travel haven is internationally recognised, which in conjunction with the strength of the Rixos brand, will result in a fruitful symbiotic relationship, benefitting both Rixos and Sharm El Sheikh.”

Opening its doors in October, the property also boasts a large conference hall, as well as two dining rooms, six à la carte restaurants, five bars and Rixos Royal Spa.

The luxurious health and beauty centre will offer water rituals, world-class massages, various body treatments, and skincare from a global program of traditional and contemporary methods.

There will also be a Rixy Club for children staying at the resort.

Rixos Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt is the 18th ring of the chain after Rixos Residence Bomonty Istanbul, which opened in September 2012.
