Contractor Muriya Real Estate has been awarded a $220m deal by Muriya Tourism Development for the construction of a Banyan Tree Hotel & Resort in Jebel Sifa, Muscat.
The project involves the erection of a three-storey building comprising a total of 239 rooms.
The tender for the construction contract was announced in June 2012 and contractors submitted their bids by July.

The hotel will be operated by the Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts company and is expected to be completed by December 2014.
