Amrita Bhalla has joined Onyx Hospitality Group as chief people officer, working with HR in the company.
She began her HR career consulting with PricewaterhouseCoopers, after having achieved a masters degree in industrial relations from Queens University in Kingston, Canada.
Bhalla has since worked across the global in locations such as North America, the Caribbean, Europe and Asia.
Within hospitality, Bhalla has worked with international groups such as Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts and prior to joining Onyx she was executive vice president of human resources with Oberoi.
The new chief people officer said: "I am excited to be joining Onyx at a time when the company is embarking on a robust international expansion plan.”
“Our people are the most important part of our strategy and I look forward to collaborating with the team to develop our HR organisational capabilities to enable our long-term success,” she added.
