Dubai-based operator Auris Hotels is soon to open a hotel on the emirate's Palm Jumeirah island. 

Auris Hotels managing director Hatem Gasmi confirmed the forthcoming opening, but declined to reveal any further details at this stage.

The hotel is located close to the Jumeirah Zabeel Saray hotel on The Palm’s crescent and according to a sign on the building will be “opening soon”.

The Palm property will be Auris Hotels’ seventh property in the emirate. In the past year the group, founded by Gasmi in 2008, has doubled its portfolio which today comprises 1313 keys, excluding The Palm hotel.

“We are a regional company and we want to grow in the Middle East and North Africa,” Gasmi told Hotelier earlier this year.

In October 2011, Auris First Central Hotel Suites was opened in the TECOM district followed by Metro Central by Auris in March 2012. On April 2012, Auris Plaza Hotel, the first five-star property was inaugurated in Al Barsha.

Forthcoming projects in the UAE and beyond include Auris Lodge Sohar in Oman, which will offer 77 rooms and suites, set to open on April 2013.

Upcoming projects to be formally announced soon also include hotels in Sharjah and Abu Dhabi in the UAE, another in KSA and a five-star luxury property in Tunisia, North Africa – the Auris Imperial Palace Tunis.

According to Gasmi, the firm aims to provide exceptional service with a commitment to social responsibility.
