Hilton Worldwide will launch its upscale Doubletree by Hilton brand in Dubai in 2013 with the opening of two hotels.

The 110-key DoubleTree by Hilton Jumeirah is located close to Hilton Dubai Jumeirah on The Walk JBR, in the Dubai Marina area.

The second, larger property is the Doubletree by Hilton Dubai Al Barsha Hotel & Residence, comprising 344 keys.

“The JBR property should open within the next 12 months, and the Al Barsha hotel is opening in quarter four of 2013,” Hilton president for the Middle East and Africa Rudi Jagersbacher told Hotelier Middle East in November.

He added that a third DoubleTree by Hilton hotel would open in Bur Dubai in 2014.

The group opened its first DoubleTree by Hilton property in the UAE in Ras Al Khaimah in 2011.

A second hotel in RAK, the Doubletree by Hilton Resort Marjan Island, has been signed and is also slated to open in 2014.

Hilton Worldwide operates more than 315 DoubleTree by Hilton hotels in 25 countries, targeted at both business and leisure travellers.

The DoubleTree by Hilton experience includes warm chocolate chip cookies upon check-in and benefits through Hilton HHonors guest-reward programme.
