The hotel giant said it has inked a deal with Abdulmohsen Al-Hokair for Tourism & Development to develop a second Hilton Garden Inn hotel in the capital city, Riyadh.

The signing also marks the third Hilton Garden Inn in Saudi Arabia following the signing of Hilton Garden Inn Tabuk in September.

The new mid-market 130-room Hilton Garden Inn Riyadh Andalusia is currently under design, Hilton said in a statement.

The new property will also offer a health club and outdoor swimming pool and an all-day dining restaurant and lobby lounge plus four boardrooms and a business centre.

Rudi Jagersbacher, president, Hilton Worldwide Middle East & Africa said: "Riyadh continues to attract large numbers of international companies seeking a Middle East base which, in turn, is fuelling demand across a number of sectors, including hospitality.

"The capital is buoyant and I am delighted to sign this great new hotel, which becomes our 16th pipeline property in Saudi Arabia."

Adrian Kurre, global head, Hilton Garden Inn added: "We are delighted to expand our presence further in Saudi Arabia, a market which is proving particularly welcoming for the Hilton Garden Inn brand."
