InterContinental Doha has promoted executive chef, Georges Khalil, to become the new director of food and beverage.
Khali, winner of Hotelier Middle East’s 2011 executive chef of the year, will now oversee all the hotel’s food and beverage operations while continuing to lead the culinary team.
With over 20 years of hospitality experience, Khali is also a certified master trainer with the American hotel and lodging association (AHLA), was chosen to head the Lebanese and Middle East team in the “Bocuse d’Or 2005” world cooking contest and has been a part of the organizing committee and jury for the Salon Culinaire program of Diyafa, Qatar’s annual hospitality event, from 2005 to 2010.

“Georges joined InterContinental Doha as an Executive Chef in year 2005 and has played a leading role in positioning and developing the food and beverage experiences at this hotel. With the added responsibilities, Georges will build on the successes achieved and work on developing new ideas and concepts that will entice you as usual,” said InterContinental Doha’s General Manager Andreas Pfister.
