Al Safir Hotel and Towers, one of Bahrain's largest four-star hotels, has reopened after a BD 2 million (US $5.2 million) renovation which includes new rooms built specially for disabled and physically-challenged guests.
The Juffair based hotel, which first opened in March 2000, has had all 120 rooms of the main building overhauled, as reported in Trade Arabia.
"We have several new facilities, including the rooms, which have been completely refurbished," said hotel managing director and board member Hameed Al Halwachi.

"They all have a new international design to cater to people of all tastes, cultures and backgrounds. We are sure we can turn the page on the unsettled conditions in the last few years and look forward to a brighter and more profitable 2013," he added.
Another four-star hotel, the Gulf Gate Hotel in Manama, was also recently renovated at a cost of BD2 million ((US $5.2 million), according to the newspaper report
Plans have also been announced to upgrade the Bahrain International Hotel and the Tylos Hotel, both in Manama.
