Italian designer Roberto Cavalli has opened a cafe-lounge along the waterfront in downtown Beirut, with the designer personally attending the launch along with Haifa Wehbe and Nancy Ajram, the Daily Star reported.

The cafe in the Lebanese capital is designed with Cavalli's exotic signature designs that include zebra print furnishings, giraffe prints and oversized couches along with mirror-lined walls.

A dinner with starters and drinks at the cafe, which serves Italian food like Cavalli’s zebra-printed ravioli, costs about US$50 per person, according to the newspaper.

Cavalli, 72, from Florence, already has a cafe in Milan and a branded club in Dubai and plans to also open outlets in Kuwait and Doha, the newspaper reported.
