Celebrated chef Gordon Ramsay delighted guests at The St. Regis Doha in an exclusive sold-out event last week, as he prepared special dishes and shared stories at his two restaurants Gordon Ramsay Doha and Opal by Gordon Ramsay Doha.

Ramsay and his team of chefs, led by Michelin star-holding head chef Gilles Bosquet, prepared one sitting of a five-course dinner at Gordon Ramsay Doha, and two sittings of a three-course dinner at Opal by Gordon Ramsay Doha.

Guests - including food connoisseurs, local chefs, food bloggers and members of the media - came from across the GCC to meet Ramsay and enjoy specialties that had never before been served in Qatar.

The Scottish chef holds 11 Michelin stars, including one of only four Three-Michelin starred restaurants in the UK, which is one of the highest awards in the culinary world.

Chef Gordon Ramsay said: “I’m delighted that so many food-loving guests from the region were able to attend these dinners, and to have helped to enhance Qatar’s culinary scene, which has grown tremendously over the past five years. I am proud of what Chef Gilles and his team have accomplished so far and look forward to the growing success of our two restaurants in Doha”.

At Gordon Ramsay Doha, guests dined on European lobster and pear salad, pan-fried sea bass and roasted lamb loin, along with a berry meringue and sorbet for dessert.

Ramsay met with all guests in the intimate setting inspired by a classical English manor.

In the more relaxed bistro-style setting of Opal by Gordon Ramsay Doha, guests enjoyed seafood starters; braised duck leg with crushed potatoes, orange, and cardamom sauce for the main course, and cherry bakewell tart for dessert.
