Rotana Hotels has signed an MoU for its first property in Oman’s capital city Muscat.
Sundas Rotana will be developed by Sundas Investments Projects LLC at Airport Heights, a hospitality complex taking shape in Bousher, Muscat.
Scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2015, the four-star hotel marks Sundas Investments Projects LLC first move into the hotel business.

Sundas Investments Projects LLC chairman Mohammed Mahfood Saad Al Ardhi said: “In a growing economy such as Oman, tourism is an emerging sector requiring huge Investments. The 245-room hotel will span four floors and merge contemporarnty lines with traditional Omani architecture and a dominant palette of desert colours.
Commenting on the new property, Rotana’s 71st in the region, president and CEO Selim El Zyr said: “Sundus Rotana Hotel will serve as a one-stop destination for visitors to Muscat, drawing in people from all over the region to witness the splendour that is characteristic of the city.
