The five-star Rosewood Abu Dhabi at Sowwah Square on Al Maryah Island has revealed the names of its executive management team, ahead of its anticipated May 2013 launch.

The team will be led by managing director Luigi Romaniello: “I have been with the Rosewood Group for over 13 years and have immense respect for our company’s unique philosophy, rich heritage and our ability to bring the highest calibre of talented professionals together," he said.

Romaniello will oversee all elements of Rosewood Abu Dhabi from staff recruitment and guest service to the property’s range of signature restaurants and Sense, a Rosewood Spa.
A seasoned hotelier with more than 20 years’ experience in the hospitality industry, he has served in top positions at some of the world’s finest and most luxurious hotels and brings this wealth of experience to Abu Dhabi.
Other members include director of human resources Maria Elkaer, responsible for implementing programmes in training, development and recruitment at Rosewood’s flagship UAE hotel.
“They are truly a remarkable team of professionals”, said Elkaer, “A very skilled and multicultural group, who have had experience in their respective fields in leading luxury hospitality brands. Moreover, they are all keen to embrace Abu Dhabi as their new home, and establish Rosewood Abu Dhabi as a new hallmark in hospitality in the UAE”.
Responsible for the culinary journeys undertaken in Rosewood, executive chef Wolfgang Eberle recently transferred to Rosewood Abu Dhabi from Rosewood’s sister property in Saudi Arabia, Al Faisaliah.
Prior to joining Rosewood International Group, Eberle gathered experience and expertise from working in Switzerland, United States, Philippines, China, India, Sri Lanka and Canada which will be reflected in the gastronomic experiences guests are treated to.
In addition to Rosewood Hotel Abu Dhabi, Sowwah Square, the heart of Abu Dhabi’s new Central Business District (CBD), is comprised of four Grade ‘A’ commercial towers, Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) and The Galleria at Sowwah Square, a luxury fashion and dining district connecting the entire mixed-use development to the waterfront.
