Merchant Star International, the local supplier for Julius Meinl Coffee and Berry White Organic, which it launched last year, will be one of the main sponsors at the Hotelier Spa and Wellness Forum and the Caterer Food and Business Forum in March.

The company also carries cold coffee brand Coffain 699 and healthy juice drink Pfanner in its portfolio, plus healthy gum Vitamingum Fresh.

The first-of-its-kind Spa & Wellness Forum, being held at Ritz-Carlton DIFC in Dubai on March 18, will bring together more than 140 of the UAE’s top spa managers to discuss industry issues and share best practice.

Panel discussions will focus on the current challenges and opportunities faced by spa professionals, with sessions including The Rise of Wellness in the Middle East; Speaking the Language of Spas and Business; and The Spa Journey – Engineering a Seamless Experience. There will also be five interactive workshops designed to enable frank discussion and the sharing examples of best practice in the fields of spa marketing, spa concept development, upselling and retail sales, and recruitment and retention of staff. The Caterer Food and Business Forum which will be attended by some of the most powerful and respected restaurateurs who will come together to tackle a range of issues affecting regional F&B businesses today including sustainable food and its challenges; how to spot a money-making F&B opportunity; the impact of social media, and the importance of good quality food over entertainment and price.

There will be a string of breakout workshops at the event headed up by experts. Topics expected to be covered are banqueting and its potential; F&B revenue management; innovating space to maximise profit and the one that is likely to create the highest amount of debate – whether staff are worth investing in.
