Travel plans for family groups tend to be decided jointly by partners (46%), while 57% of its visitors herald from households over five people.

A high proportion of its visitors, 32%, accessed Wego from a mobile device, plus its results show a big appetite for new, alternative destinations from the 3,500 explored online for both flights and hotels.

“Middle Eastern travellers expect travel information instantly and like to share their plans, especially when they involve new and trending destinations,’ says Mohamad Ibrahim Masri, managing director for Wego Middle East & North African.

“This is reflected by the solid numbers who use mobile devices to access travel content, a figure growing across all the 11 markets analysed by Wego.”

Wego plans to present its insights at the up-coming Arabian Travel Market at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre (DICEC), from 6 to 9 May 2013, Sheikh Saeed Arena Hall.
