Renaissance Doha has launched its Passage through India at Crossroads Kitchen, which invites guests to step into an authentic Indian experience, complete with Indian music, incense and the rich colours and flavours of the region.

Launched earlier this month, the theme saw Crossroads Kitchen introduce an exciting array of cuisine ranging from biryani, curry and hariyali to koftas, tandoori, samosas and more. Live cooking stations featuring dosa, wada, roti and all the traditional favourites from the North, South, East and West accompanied the meal, finished by authentic Hindi desserts like gulab jamun, sheera and halwa.

The event was inaugurated by the Indian Ambassador to Qatar, Sanjiv Arora.

"I am glad that the Renaissance Doha City Center Hotel is organising a special food festival under the theme ‘Passage through India’. This is a laudable initiative to promote not only Indian cuisine, but also present India’s rich diversity to the hotel’s local and international guests. My heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all”, said Arora.

In keeping with the theme, chefs at Crossroads adorned colourful headwear and clothing and the restaurant was decorated with fabrics in vibrant hues.

The launch night ended with a spectacular Hindustani dance display performed by staff.
