InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has announced the first Holiday Inn Hotel in Doha, Qatar, in partnership with Trans Orient Establishment.
“We are very excited to be extending our partnership with IHG. We are proud of the newly-opened Crowne Plaza Doha – The Business Park, which has already proved itself a firm success. Adding Holiday Inn Doha – The Business Park to the mix means that we will be able to offer something for every traveller,” said Fathi Abu Rish, executive manager of Trans Orient Hotels and Service Apartments.
The 347-room property will be located in the capital’s Business Park precinct and will feature a 1200sq m ballroom and supporting meeting rooms, as well as three food and beverage outlets.

“Every year 100 million people stay at Holiday Inn or Holiday Inn Express hotels around the world, and three people check into one every second.
"Out of all our hotel brands, Holiday Inn is one of our biggest and we are confident that it will find success in Qatar,” commented Pascal Gauvin, chief operating officer, India, Middle East and Africa at IHG.
There are currently 25 operational Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express hotels in the Middle East, with another six due to come online in the next five years.
